Portrait of the late Stephen D. Williams, M.D, founding director of The Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center. Dr. Williams tirelessly led efforts for the establishment of the IU Cancer Center, one of only 67 National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers in the United States. The portrait was commissioned to honor Dr. Williams and hangs in the cancer center’s patient care building.
